On behalf of the Holstein Canada Board of Directors, President Gerald Schipper is pleased to announce that Vincent Landry has been selected as the next Chief Executive Officer. Vincent will start in his new role on May 4.
“We are very excited to introduce Vincent as our incoming CEO. The Board of Directors established very clear criteria for the rigorous selection process to identify a CEO to take us forward in this changing world. Vincent meets all of our objectives,” states Gerald Schipper.
Fluently bilingual with an in-depth dairy background, Vincent Landry brings a wealth of experience to his new position. Born on a Holstein farm in the Eastern Townships region of Quebec (and a Holstein Canada Junior member from an early age) and a Holstein breeder until very recently, Vincent has held key positions in the industry. These include over a decade of senior management positions in Sales, Marketing and Communications for two artificial insemination companies. Before his AI career, Vincent worked in animal nutrition. Following his post-secondary education, Vincent started his career as a Field Service advisor for Holstein Québec, the largest Branch of Holstein Canada.

Canadian Holsteins have always been an incredible resource, with a great capacity to adapt – they will continue to be a key asset to contributing to the prosperity of our dairy farms across the country. The Board of Directors wishes outgoing CEO Ann Louise Carson a long and happy retirement.

Au nom du conseil d’administration de Holstein Canada, le président Gerald Schipper est heureux d’annoncer que Vincent Landry a été sélectionné comme prochain chef de la direction de l’entreprise. Vincent occupera ses nouvelles fonctions à compter du 4 mai.
Nous sommes ravis d’accueillir Vincent à titre de nouveau chef de la direction. Le conseil d’administration avait établi des critères très précis pour le rigoureux processus de sélection visant à désigner un chef de la direction qui nous permettra d’aller de l’avant dans ce monde en évolution. Vincent rejoint tous nos objectifs », affirme Gerald Schipper.
Parfaitement bilingue et doté de solides antécédents dans le secteur laitier, Vincent Landry jouit d’une vaste expérience qui lui sera précieuse dans son nouveau poste. Né dans une ferme Holstein des Cantons de l’Est au Québec (et un membre junior de Holstein Canada dès son plus jeune âge), il a été jusqu’à très récemment un éleveur Holstein. Vincent a occupé des postes clés au sein de l’industrie, notamment comme cadre supérieur dans le domaine des ventes, du marketing et des communications auprès de deux compagnies d’insémination artificielle pendant plus d’une décennie. Avant sa carrière en IA, Vincent a travaillé dans le secteur de la nutrition animale. Après ses études postsecondaires, Vincent a entrepris sa carrière comme conseiller du service à la ferme chez Holstein Québec, la plus grande branche de Holstein Canada.
Vincent Landry déclare fièrement : « C’est en demeurant à l’écoute des consommateurs, en étant proactifs et en valorisant des modèles de production diversifiés d’un océan à l’autre que nous ferons face aux enjeux présents et futurs. Les Holstein canadiennes ont toujours été une ressource inestimable, démontrant une grande capacité d’adaptation, elles continueront d’être un atout puissant pour contribuer à la prospérité des fermes laitières du pays. Je suis très fier de faire partie de cette industrie et de travailler avec une équipe engagée envers les éleveurs Holstein du Canada. »
Le conseil d’administration désire souhaiter à la chef de direction sortante, Ann Louise Carson, une longue et heureuse retraite.
