Holstein Canada 2022 Cow of the Year Finalists

Since 1995, Holstein Canada’s annual Cow of the Year competition aims to recognize elite Canadian cows that have had an impact both domestically and internationally and have been enjoyed by Canadian producers. Here are the four finalists for the 2022 Cow of the Year award:

Still active as she gets close to 12 years of age, she has distinguished herself by her high productions, her exceptional show results and her prolific offspring. Her daughters and granddaughters have won major shows in 6 different countries. All her daughters in Canada are 100% GP and better and we count 8 EX, 17 VG and 7 GP.”

She also had great days on the show grounds by being Grand Champion at Saint-Pascal in 2017, All-Canadian Nominee and Tout-Québec Reserve in 2017. Despite being 14 years, Conny is still in good health and also shows an incredible mobility for her age!”

She was BC’s Cow of the Year in 2020 and is a prime example of what we strive for everyday as breeders of great Canadian cows!”

Holstein Canada members have until March 13 via your online account or the InfoHolstein magazine voting ballot. The Cow of the Year winner will be announced at Holstein Canada’s Annual Meeting on Saturday, April 15th in Montreal.
