Purebred Publishing is pleased to announce that Marjorie Hardy will be joining the team on January 3 in the position of Sales Associate. Her responsibilities will include selling all of the Purebred Publishing products as well as writing and editing for the Ayrshire Digest, Brown Swiss Bulletin, Milking Shorthorn Journal and Guernsey Breeders’ Journal. Marjorie brings to the team experience in advertising, marketing, social media and an extensive dairy background.

Raised on Hardy Farm, an Ayrshire farm in Maine, she currently resides in Worthington, Massachusetts, with her fiancé, Ryan Rida. They are the owners of Ridale Genetics and exhibit their Ayrshires and Milking Shorthorns at all levels of local, state and the national shows.

Marjorie’s past employment includes working as herdsman and social media manager for Vermont Farmstead Cheese Company and most recently a veterinary assistant at a local animal hospital. She has also freelanced in the industry designing ads, logos and displays for a variety of dairy farms and businesses.

She has an Associate degree in Animal Science from the University of Connecticut-Ratcliffe Hicks School of Agriculture. She was a member of the dairy cattle judging team in college and won both the Brown Swiss and Milking Shorthorn placings at the World Dairy Expo competition.  As a National Ayrshire junior she was the recipient of the Distinguished and Outstanding Ayrshire Youth Awards and served as a National Ayrshire Princess.

“It has been a dream of mine to work in the dairy industry, with and for the people that have the same kind of passion as I do,” said Marjorie. “I am thrilled to start working with the Purebred team and cannot wait to serve the breeders of the represented breeds in an industry that I am passionate about.”

Marjorie will be based out of her home in Massachusetts, although will spend time in the Columbus, Ohio, office as well as travel and attend various dairy industry-related events throughout the year.
