George Alfred Miller, 94, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away February 13, 2021.
He was born in Leesburg, VA on June 24, 1926 to the late James and Sarah (Howser) Miller.
He is preceded in death by his daughters; Mary Kathryn Miller, and Susan Gardner.
Surviving family includes loving wife of 68 years, Austin “Pippin” A. Miller; daughters, Nora Altice, Carol (Mark) Bair, Elaine (Chuck) Scott; grandchildren, Christina (Ben) Jeffcoat, Elizabeth (Todd) Davidson, John Robert Altice, Kimberly (Rich) Lynn, Daniel (Ariel) Bair, Kasce (Allison) Gardner, Rachel Bair, Andrew Scott; great grandchildren, John (Elizabeth), Michael (Kayla), Julia, Sierra, Grace, James, Lily, Samuel, Lucas, Adalyn, Kaden; great-great grandchildren, Addy, Aristotle, Paul, Sazja, Julian; as well as many other extended family and friends.
George was a native of Loudoun County, Virginia and graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a Bachelors and Master of Science Degree in Dairy Science.
He served as Fieldman, Sales Manager, and Manager for Virginia Animal Breeders Association.
George retired from Select Sires in 1991 after 35 years, serving as Vice President of Marketing and Development.
George made many substantial contributions to the Dairy industry.
His devotion, leadership, and honesty made him a leader in the AI industry.
George was loved by all and will be truly missed.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 20th, 2021 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm with a Memorial Service immediately following at Newcomer Funeral Home – NE Chapel 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus- OH 43231.
