In response to increasing demand for its products and technical services, leading bovine genetics suppliers Genus ABS is continuing to invest and grow its presence in Scotland with the appointment of two experienced new members of staff who will be well known to dairy farmers in Scotland.
After over 20 years with Semex, the last seven selling to farmers throughout Scotland, Jason Kean has been appointed Scotland Sales Manager in charge of a team of 37 technical and sales staff. Jason is responsible for all Genus ABS business in Scotland, covering dairy and beef genetics, silage inoculants and udder health products as well as the supply of AI and RMS (Reproductive Management Systems).
Familiar to farmers in South West Scotland, Alex Parker has rejoined Genus after spending six years with Alta Genetics and will be working with farmers to improve the genetic merit of their herds and make full use of new technologies, including genomic proofs and sexed dairy and beef semen.
