The Fritsches of Fritsche Farms, LLC, will serve as ambassadors for Midwest Dairy’s Fuel Up to Play 60 program. The program encourages students across the country to eat healthy food and get active for 60 minutes a day.

While there from 5 to 9:30 p.m., Jan. 31, the Fritsches will talk with thousands of event goers from across the country about dairy farming and how milk gets from farms to grocery stores in about 48 hours.

In addition, they’ll assist with a virtual reality game where players will get a first-hand look at a dairy farm and encourage guests to get involved in the Fuel Up to Play 60 program.

The Fritsches and other guests will have the opportunity to meet current and retired NFL players from across the league who will be stopping by the Fuel Up to Play 60 booth through the week.

“This puts a dairy producer’s face in a different space and address,” Paul Fritsche said. “I don’t know who will be there other than dairy producers. I suppose there will be people from all over the country, plus some rabid NFL fans.”

Paul said he will center on the fact that he is a local milk producer who takes care of his animals.

“We plan to talk to people,” said Melanie Fritsche.

Other dairy farmers at the Super Bowl Experience include Charles and Jessica Yost of Timberlake Dairy of St. Peter, 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. Jan. 27; Steinhagen Dairy of Belle Plaine, 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 28; and Annexstad Dairy Farm of St. Peter, 1 to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 3.

“One of the goals of Midwest Dairy is to have conversations with people about where their food comes from and how dairy can be incorporated into a healthy lifestyle,” said Lucas Lentsch, CEO of Midwest Dairy. “We love doing that by bringing dairy farmers to unexpected places. The Super Bowl Experience is an excellent opportunity to have one-on-one conversations with thousands of people who may have never been to a dairy farm.”

The Super Bowl Experience runs Jan. 27 through Feb. 3 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. The Fuel Up to Play 60 is located in the Kids Zone, found in Hall A (lower level). For more information, visit FuelUpToPlay60.com
