Dam and Daughter Dominate the International Brown Swiss Show

The Dam and Daughter duo owned by Brian Pacheco of Kerman, Calif. won big as the owner of the Senior and Reserve Senior Champion and Grand and Reserve Grand Champion of the International Brown Swiss Show. Iroquois Acres Jong Cali, the winning Component Merit Cow, was awarded the honor of Grand Champion. She is the recipient of the Allen Hetts Grand Champion Trophy and $1000 Udder Comfort Grand Champion Award. Her daughter, Iroquois Acres Total Candy, the winning Aged Cow, Six-Year-Old & Over, received Reserve Grand Champion.

Topp B-3 Woodford, the winning Junior Three-Year-Old Cow, was chosen as Intermediate Champion. Woodford is owned by Topp-View & Brothers Three of Watertown, Wis. and received the Eugene Nelson Intermediate Champion Award. Reserve Intermediate Champion went to Just So D Fortune-ET, the winning Senior Three-Year-Old, owned by Just So Farm of Lake Mills, Wis.

Jenlar Rasta Westlynn-ETV, the winning Fall Heifer Calf, was chosen as the Junior Champion and receives the Norman E. Magnussen Memorial Award. Westlynn is owned by Siemers Holsteins of Lomira, Wis. Following as Reserve Junior Champion was the Junior Champion of the Junior Show and winning Winter Yearling Heifer, Shelburne BR Dells Designer NP. Designer is owned by Hayleigh Geurink and Kelvin Webster of Blue Mounds, Wis.

Cutting Edge, Ken Main and Peter Vail of Copake, New York claimed Premier Breeder honors. Premier Exhibitor went to Ken Main and Kenny Joe Manion, also of Copake, New York. The Premier Sire was Voelkers TD Carter. Pit-Crew Genetics of Cambridge, Minn. cleaned house as Premier Breeder and Exhibitor of the Heifer Show, while the Premier Sire of the Heifer Show was Brown Heaven R Famous-ET.

Official judge, Chris Lahmers of Marysville, Ohio, and associate judge, Richard “RT” Thompson of Darlington, Wis., evaluated the 374 entries.
