Nominations for the 2014 Curtis Clark Achievement Award are currently being
sought. Presented annually at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto,
Ont., the Curtis Clark Award goes to the dairy cattle exhibitor who
possesses the ability, sportsmanship and character necessary to be respected
by his fellow breeders and showmen.
To be eligible for the award, the nominee must be an ³active² showman,
breeder or manager of any dairy cattle breed in Canada who is exhibiting
cattle at major shows in this country. The person who wins the award ³must
be present² at the Royal Winter Fair to accept it. Nominees will be judged
on their support of breed activities and ability to breed, manage, develop
and exhibit dairy cattle. The Curtis Clark award is sponsored by the Alberta
Holstein Branch. Selection of the winner is made by former recipients of the
award. This year¹s winner will be announced on November 14th during the
Royal¹s National Holstein Show.

Nous sommes présentement à la recherche de candidats pour le Prix
d¹accomplissement Curtis-Clark 2014. Un prix décerné à chaque année durant
la Royal Agricultural Winter Fair à Toronto, Ont., le prix Curtis-Clark est
attribué à l¹exposant de vaches laitières soulignant la capacité, l¹esprit
sportif et le bon caractère qu¹une personne a besoin pour mériter le respect
de ses collègues d¹élevage et d¹expositions.
Afin d¹être admissible à ce prix, la personne en nomination, soit un
exposant, un éleveur ou un gérant, n¹importe la race de bétail du Canada,
doit être « actif » et une personne qui montre des animaux dans les
expositions importantes de ce pays. La gagnant de cette reconnaissance devra
être présent à l¹Exposition royale d¹hiver pour recevoir son prix. Les
candidats seront jugés selon leur appui des activités de la race et leur
capacité de pouvoir élever, gérer, développer et montrer le bovin laitier.
Le prix Curtis-Clark est commandité par la section Alberta de Holstein
Canada. Le gagnant de cette année sera annoncé le 14 novembre prochain lors
du jugement Holstein à la Royale.
