Clements Joins Guernsey Marketing Team to Enhance Services and Growth of Guernsey Breed

The American Guernsey Association (AGA) are pleased to announce the addition of Brent Clements to the Guernsey Marketing Service (GMS) team.  As part of the strategic plan, the AGA is continuing to invest in GMS in support its Mission to grow the Guernsey population, enhance the value of the Guernsey for its members, as well as improve its commercial capabilities.

GMS is expanding its role and leadership in the sales and marketing of high quality Guernsey semen, embryos and private treaty sales.  World-wide demand for Guernsey cattle is growing rapidly and the AGA is positioning to better service our breeders, members and customers with access to a robust supply of high quality Guernsey cattle and genetics.

“I am thrilled to have Brent come on board” says Doug Granitz CEO/Executive Secretary “We have been working closely with Brent over the past months to build and test the operating structure for moving this program forward.   Brent brings a wealth of experience, contacts and expertise to the table which is a great asset for strengthening our genetic improvement and herd expansion pillar.   Once again, we see the benefits of our Guernsey youth program as we bring in talent from within and Brent and Cara partner to make GMS stronger on behalf of the breed and its members“

As the demand for Guernsey numbers grow it is vital that the Association and GMS support this growth. Brent, an AGA member and active Guernsey supporter and promoter will increase and develop the role of helping buyers and sellers connect with the support of Guernsey Marketing and AGA staff.

Brent grew up on a registered Guernsey farm in Stoddard, Wisconsin, owned by his parents Kenneth and Judy Clements. During his childhood, the Regal Hills prefix was home to Junior All-American and All-American nominees, Junior Production awards and, Brent was awarded the 1993 National Outstanding Guernsey Youth Award. He was a member of teams that won the National Guernsey Senior Quiz Contests and earned his American FFA Degree. While earning a B.S. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences, Brent interned at the Hoard’s Dairyman Guernsey Farm, ABS Global and World-Wide Sires.

Brent has been employed in the finance and banking industry specializing in commercial real estate and operations management for the past 18 plus years. During that time he remained active outside the farm by creating Global Guernsey Marketing with a team of International Guernsey enthusiasts that has amassed 62,000 plus followers on Facebook in just over three years. Additionally, he has assisted in the promotion and management of four highly successful Guernsey sales in Wisconsin, Ohio and North Carolina with other fellow Guernsey Promotion Group members. The sales were created to focus on generating awareness and improvements of Guernsey genetics, attract new members, increase the number of Guernseys in the U.S. and highlight the qualities of Guernsey milk by confirming the A2 status of all consignments.

Brent, along with AGA Field Representative Cara Trotter, are available to help connect buyers and sellers of Guernsey cattle and embryos across the United States and internationally. Contact either Brent at [email protected] or Cara at [email protected].
