Butlerview Farms is pleased to announce two new summer interns for 2015.
Jordan Siemers, of Siemers Holsteins, Wisconsin,USA and Casey Treloar, Edge Holsteins, Australia will both be carrying out an internship at Butlerview.
Jordan has great knowledge and experience in the area of sire analysis and marketing. Jordan is currently a sophomore at Cornell University majoring in Dairy Science and Ag Business. He is very involved in Jr. Holstein, and will be serving as the National Chair for the Junior Advisory Committee this year. Jordan is a great representative of youth in agriculture and the dairy industry. He is also involved in FFA, 4-H, Cornell University Dairy Science Club, Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity and The Cornell Traditions Fellowship. Jordan plans to be actively involved in the dairy industry and eventually plans to return to his family dairy, Siemers Holsteins, as a 6th generation farmer.
Casey Treloar grew up on her parents family farm, Edge Holsteins, in South Australia where she developed great passion for first class genetics. She has been studying a Bachelor of Journalism and a Bachelor of Management Marketing at the University of South Australia. Casey has put her studies on hold to take on the opportunity to work at Butlerview and gain more experience in the North American Dairy market. Casey’s passion for marketing came to life when she started a small facebook page called ‘Aus Dairy’ and has since developed her passion for communicating through photography and social media. This has lead to many global connections and the opportunity to work with International Dairy Week (Australia’s premier dairy show) with their public relations, social media and photography.
During their internship at Butlerview both Jordan and Casey will learn all aspects of what our business has to offer as well as further develop their relations within our great industry. We are very excited for both to join our team!
