Blissful Day for Bailey at the International Jersey Show

The first and second place Six-Year-Old and Older Cows, owned by Vierra Dairy Farms of Hilmar, Calif., went on to win Senior and Reserve Senior Champion and Grand and Reserve Grand Champion. Stoney Point Joel Bailey claimed Grand Champion of the International Jersey Show. She is the recipient of the Allen Hetts Grand Champion Trophy and the $1000 Udder Comfort Grand Champion Award. Reserve Grand Champion honors went to River Valley Colton Juliette-ET.

Vierra Dairy Farms also owned the Intermediate Champion, OEH-My Victrous Parade, the winning Senior Three-Year-Old. Reserve Intermediate honors went to the winning Senior Two-Year-Old, Lone Pine Touchdown Booster, owned by Pierre Boulet & Mike Berry of Montmagny, Quebec, Canada.

Juniors won big in the International Jersey Show as Miss Gayles Grace-ET took home the banners of Junior Champion in both the Junior and Open shows. Owned by Kendall Thomas of North Lewisburg, Ohio, she also won the Norman E. Magnussen Memorial Award. Following in Grace’s footsteps, the winning Spring Yearling Heifer, DKG Gentry Cream, claimed the Reserve Junior Champion honors in both the Junior and Open shows. Cream is owned by Blake Greiwe of Quincy, Ohio.

Vierra Dairy Farm, Hilmar, Calif., won Premier Exhibitor of both the heifer and cow show, while Misty Meadow Dairy of Tillamook, Ore. claimed Premier Breeder. Madison Fischer from Frostburg, Md. claimed Premier Breeder of the Heifer Show. Guimo Joel-ET was named Premier Sire of the International Jersey Show.

Official judge, Mike Dukett of Rudolph, Wis., and associate judge, Kevin McGriskin of Melancthon, Ontario, Canada, evaluated the 399 entries in the International Jersey Show.
