Ayrshire Canada is pleased to announce the hiring of Mr. Grant Roy for the position of Registrar and Member Services.
Grant grew up on Oakburn Farm located in Howick, Québec, where they raised Ayrshire cattle. Their herd was dispersed in 2010 however Grant has continuously been very active with the Ayrshire breed and the dairy industry around the world.
Grant brings years of related experience and knowledge to the organization. He was on the Ayrshire Québec Board of Directors for 10 years as well as on the Ayrshire Canada Board of Directors for 12 years, both serving as president for 2 years. For 7 years now, Grant has sat on the CDN Board of Directors, serving as chairman for 4 years and was also the Dairy Farmers of Canada delegate for 3 years and on their Board for 1 year. He has experience judging many Ayrshire dairy shows as he is an official Ayrshire Canada judge and has volunteered for several years with the Howick 4H club and the local Fire Department. Grant and his wife Caroline have 3 daughters – Bailey, Shannon, and Lindsay – and he enjoys serving on the Chateauguay Valley Regional high school governing board as well as coaching basket-ball.
Working part time from the Ayrshire Canada office and from his home, Grant will begin his duties with the Association this week starting May 1st, 2013. Welcome to the Ayrshire Canada team Grant!

Ayrshire Canada est heureuse d’annoncer l’embauche de M. Grant Roy au poste de registraire et du service aux membres.
Grant a grandi sur la ferme Oakburn située à Howick au Québec où ils élevaient des Ayrshires. Le troupeau a été vendu en 2010 mais cependant Grant a toujours continué d’être très actif dans la race Ayrshire et dans l’industrie laitière autour du monde.
Grant apporte des années d’expérience et de connaissances à l’organisation. Il fut administrateur d’Ayrshire Québec pendant 10 ans et également administrateur d’Ayrshire Canada sur une période de 12 ans. Au cours de ses mandats il a agi à titre de président pour chaque association et ce pour une durée de 2 ans pour chacune d’elle. Depuis maintenant 7 ans, Grant siège au conseil d’administration du Réseau laitier canadien (RLC) et occupe le poste de président depuis 4 ans. Il fut également délégué pour “Les producteurs laitiers du Canada” pendant 3 ans et siégea au conseil d’administration lors de la dernière année de ce mandat.
Il est juge officiel d’Ayrshire Canada et a jugé plusieurs expositions. Grant a fait beaucoup de bénévolat pour le club 4-H d’Howick et il fut aussi pompier volontaire pour sa municipalité. Grant et son épouse Caroline ont 3 enfants – Bailey, Shannon et Lindsay. Grant est membre du bureau des gouverneurs du Chateauguay Valley Regional high school et il agit comme entraîneur au basket-ball.
Grant débutera chez Ayrshire Canada à compter du 1er mai, 2013 et travaillera à temps partiel du bureau et de son domicile. Bienvenue dans l’équipe d’Ayrshire Canada Grant!!
