The Pierre-Léonard Recognition Award is awarded annually during the Suprême Laitier in Saint-Hyacinthe. To be eligible, individuals must distinguish themselves by their contribution and the development of Holstein excellence in Quebec, in particular through provincial, national and international actions.
Le Suprême Laitier is proud to attribute this recognition to 𝗠𝗺𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗻 𝗟𝗼𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻! Ms. Carson is highly appreciated by the breeders as well as various industry partners.
She descended from a dairy farm in the Eastern Townships where she grew up, so it is safe to say that Holstein blood runs through her veins.
During her professional career, Ms. Carson has worked in the government sector, embryo transfer and milk recording. She also worked in the processing industry, artificial insemination and ended her fabulous career as CEO of Holstein Canada from 2012 to 2020.
A member of the Order of Agronomist from the year of her graduation from McGill University until her retirement, Ann Louise also sat on numerous boards and committees in the Quebec, Canadian and international agricultural sector.
Ms. Ann Louise Carson can be called a pioneer, as in many of these organizations she was the first woman to fill these roles. Congratulations Ann Louise!
