We’re excited to feature seven of central Michigan’s most progressive dairy farms as hosts for our 14th Alta Advantage® Showcase Tour, which will be held June 18-20, 2014.
Making a name for itself as the most progressive dairy tour in the industry, Showcase gives dairy producers from all around the world the opportunity to see first-hand the impressive management styles at Alta partner herds.
Ranging in size from 800-3,500 cows, these elite host dairies excel in all aspects of farm management. With expansions underway, several host farms will be ready to feature their new freestall barn and parlor additions.
As tour guests rotate to various stations at each farm, they will see highlights of the reproductive excellence on these dairies, with preg rates nearing 30%. Other stations will give insight to genetic planning, feed and nutrition management, cow comfort, various calf and heifer raising strategies, and feature an assortment of milking parlor styles.
This invite-only event affords the opportunity to network with progressive-minded dairy producers from around the globe while gaining knowledge and discovering ideas for top-notch dairy management.
