Baraboo, Wis. – Accelerated Genetics is pleased to announce the hiring of a new Regional Sales Manager, Brian Wilkins in the Western United States.
He will provide sales leadership, coaching and communication to his sales region by creating business plans, personnel development training and management for long-term success according to the established goals set by the cooperative. His region covers all dairy business in California, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.
Prior to joining Accelerated Genetics, Brian was the Territory Manager for Thatcher Company, a diversified chemical manufacturer and distributor. While at Thatcher, his primary focus was on developing their dairy industry presence in California and Southern Oregon.
Brian is no stranger to the dairy industry having grown up in California. His first job was with Babson Bros./Surge where after a few short years he was promoted and relocated. For 11 years he was the Marketing Manager at their Naperville, Illinois facility. He since moved back to California and spent the next 14 years managing sales teams through both the employee and distributor channels.
Brian comments, “My professional experience in the dairy industry is very broad from shoveling manure, to managing dairies, to coaching many sales representatives, to producing award winning advertising campaigns for new products.”
Brian and his wife, Margo, live in California and have three daughters.
