Baraboo, Wis. – Ready, set, shoot! The deadline for the Accelerated Genetics annual photo contest is quickly approaching. Every year a panel of judges selects photos that portray Accelerated Genetics and agriculture from two different categories. This year’s two new categories are: “Accelerated Genetics in Action” and “Breeds of the Seasons.”
For the “AG in Action” theme, capture your favorite Accelerated Genetics cattle, products, services, representatives, etc. as they are showcased around the farm, focusing on people, products and pride in the agriculture industry. For the “Breeds of the Seasons” category, snap photos of your favorite breeds while showcasing your favorite seasons.
There will be awards for the top three places in each photo category. These awards include a first place $100 gift card, a second place $75 gift card and a third place $50 gift card. Digital photos are required and need to be sent as a high resolution (300 dpi) JPEG image with a photo size of at least 8” x 10.” Low-resolution photos will not be allowed in the contest.
The entry deadline for the contest is September 1, 2013. Contestants are allowed to enter as many photos as they wish. Each photo entered must list: name of photographer, address, phone, email, the location the photo was taken, a photo title and one of the two photo categories.
