The Heart of the Wheel Sale, the club sale held annually by the Green. Co (WI) Holstein Breeders took place on Saturday, March 16th in Monroe, WI. The sale featured registered Holstein, Red & Whites, Jerseys, Brown Swiss, Guernseys, and Milking Shorthorns, and overall 53 of all breeds averaged $1610.

Lot 3 – $7,000 – Apple-Pts Addilyn-Red-ET, a 12/17 Jacot-Red daughter of the one and only KHW Regiment Apple-Red EX-96 and a many-time All-American. Consigned by Mike Deaver of Edgerton, WI, this Winter Yearling heads west to the ownership group of Wade, Oehlke, Hogge, Behnke, and Papageorge of Ogden, Utah.
Lot 1 – $4,900 – Golden-Oaks Drman Leona-ET, a 1/18 Doorman out of Gloryland-I Goldwyn Locket-ET EX-94 2E, which makes Leona a full sister to Walkerbrae Doorman Locket EX-95, the HM All-American 5-Year-Old in 2018. The value runs through this family as Doorman Locket herself sold for $32,500 earlier this week in the Borderview 2nd Edition Sale. This consignment from Golden Oaks Farm of Wauconda, IL finds a new home in the herd of Randall Smith, Monticello, WI.
Lot 27 – $4,100 – Heavenly Badger Iceberg-ET, a fancy Milking Shorthorn fall calf that looks to be noticed in the show ring was consigned by Heavenly Show Cattle of Monroe, WI. Sired by their herd bull, Heavenly Badger, and out of a VG-89 EX-MS Logic that was Junior All-American Winter Calf in 2015, Iceberg’s full sister was HM All-American Spring Calf in 2017. She was purchased by Vallow-Hill Farm of Sullivan, WI.
Lot 5 – $3,900 – Kamps-RX APB Alcazar-Red-ET, a 9/18 Redburst out of KHW Regment Apple B-Red-ETN EX-90 was consigned by Reggie & Krysty Kamps of Belmont, WI. Another eye-catching heifer from the Apples, Alcazar found new owners in Taylor & Kendyl Judd of Mt. Horeb, WI.
