The Holstein Association USA has released the lists of National and Regional Elite Performers for 2015. To qualify for an Elite Performer Award, a cow must meet the following standards:• Complete at least three lactations in a Holstein Association USA Tri-Star participating herd, with the most recent lactation completed in the previous calendar year
• Be 87% RHA or higher
• Classified VG85 or higher
Eligible cows across the nation are ranked based on pounds of combined fat and protein per day in milk. The top ranking 1% are designated as National Elite Performers, and then the next top 1% from each of the nine regions are honored as Regional Elite Performers. All Cows enrolled in TriStarSM are automatically evaluated each year. Elite Performer recognition is a lifetime award, and appears on a cow’s official pedigree, listed underneath her milk production records.
