The Medway Farms Complete Dispersal 2016 took place on March 11th at Walker Dairy Inc. In Aylmer, ON. The sale averaged $2,903 on 87 head. This herd, owned by the Carmichael family of Ilderton, ON, has earned the Master Breeder Shield three times, in 1974, 1988 and 1999. The herd currently has 10 EX, 27 VG and 4 GP.

Topping the sale sale at $5,500 was Lot 63, Medway Fever Emvee, a Fever Senior 2 Year Old fresh in January. She is out of a VG86 Dundee and then an EX Gibson. She was purchased by Mornholme Holsteins, Listowel, ON.

Second high in the sale was Lot 53, selling for $5,300. Medway Larkin Mabel EX92, due in April to Brewmaster. Her dam is an EX All-Star, and she was purchased by Wayne Maw, Petrolia, ON.

The third high seller was Lot 21 Medway Chip Marsha bringing $5,200. Marsha is a March 2015 Gold Chip from an EX Goldwyn, followed by an EX-2E Outside, then five more generations of EX dams. She was purchased by Downiebrook Farms Ltd, St. Pauls, ON.

The fourth high seller brought $5,000, Medway Shottle Louann, who sold as Lot 4. Louann is an EX90 Shottle, due in April to McCutchen, from an EX91-2E-2* Blitz, followed by four more generations of VG & EX dams. She was purchased by Bruce Johnson, London, ON.

Wrapping up the top five sellers was lot 6, selling for $4,400. Medway Dempsey Lulu is a VG87 Dempsey, due in May to High Octane. She is out of a VG85 Shottle, from an EX91-2E-2* Blitz, followed by four more generations of VG & EX dams. Lulu was purchased by Alfred Sohn, Newton, ON.
