The Prince Edward Island Holstein Branch recently held our 2026 Breeders Cup on-farm show. Over March 1-3rd 2026 Judge Brian Carscadden, of Napanee, ON, visited 21 farms across the province and evaluated almost 80 animals. His selection for first place in the 3rd+ Lactation class Weeksdale Jantunen Magnum, exhibited by Weeksdale Holsteins, was named Grand Champion and top Island Bred cow of the competition. The second-place entry in the 3rd+ Lactation class Bayside BN Apple Pie, exhibited by Bernadale Holsteins & Bayside Farms, was named as the Reserve Grand Champion. Premier Breeder honours were claimed by Goldenflo Holsteins who had two second place and a fourth-place entry.
In the Colour Breeds competition Grand Champion honours were also claimed by Weeksdale Holsteins with their 2nd Lactation entry Weeksdale Swagger Honey. The first-Place 3rd+ Lactation and Reserve Grand Champion titles were won by Tenslotte Dairy for Lencrest Change Up Martini. The Premier Breeder of the Colour Breed show was Weeksdale Holsteins.
