Mike and Brenda, along with their children, own and operate Sleegerdale Farms Ltd. in Belmont, Ontario. It was when they began adding Jerseys in the late 1990s, that they introduced the SLEEGERHOLM prefix.

Today, the herd is evenly split between Jerseys and Holsteins, with 65 cows currently in lactation. After a devastating barn fire, the family built a new free-stall barn featuring 88 deep-bedded stalls and two A5 Lely milking robots and returned to milking in July 2024.

The herd currently averages 35 litres of milk per day, with a BCA of 280-290-297, and 71% of cows are classified Very Good or higher.

 The Master Breeder award recognizes long-term excellence in breeding Jersey cows and is based on a points system. The points are calculated using criteria found on our website – jerseycanada.com/awards
