All-American Dairy Show welcomes Kendra Nagle of Lebanon County, Pa., as the new event coordinator. In this role, Kendra will primarily plan and execute the Premier National Junior Show and events, as well as assist the cattle committee with the Open Show, among other responsibilities.
Kendra was born and raised on a dairy farm in Lebanon County, Pa., where she still resides with her family. Her family sold the cows in 2011, but they continue to raise a few heifers for her sons who enjoy showing Jerseys and Holsteins.
She has been exhibiting dairy cattle at the All-American Dairy Show for the past 28 years. However, this year she wanted to focus solely on learning her new role as event coordinator, so they did not enter any cattle. In the past, they have competed at the local county fair, regional championship shows, All-American Dairy Show, Jersey Event, and World Dairy Expo.
Kendra’s passion for the dairy industry goes beyond the show ring. She is currently working on providing a service for marketing cattle through pictures and videos online. “I have a passion for marketing the dairy cow,” said Kendra. “My goal is to share that information on all social media platforms and increase my following to bring awareness to cattle that are available for sale.”
Growing up showing cattle, Kendra quickly realized she was extremely competitive in the show ring. Over the years, she and her family have strived to purchase dairy cattle that would become class winners and overall champions. She learned the importance of hard work at home before coming to the show. “The self-discipline I learned through that experience helped develop the person I am today,” Kendra shared. “I want to share my passion for the dairy industry and the All-American Dairy Show by giving back some of those lessons I have learned to the youth.”
Kendra’s goals as event coordinator remain focused on the youth of the show. She hopes to implement initiatives to keep them interested and participating at the All-American Dairy Show
