The National Holstein Show at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair is a wrap in Toronto, Ontario! Judge Paul Trapp and his associate Mike Duckett looked over 184 cows today and found their Grand Champion in the senior 3-year-old class – Blondin Rd Unstopabull Maple-Red (Unstopabull), exhibited by R & F Livestock, William Schilling, Kevin Doeberiener and Lindsay Bowen of West Salem, OH. If that name sounds familiar, it’s because Maple was the Grand Champion of the National Red & White Show yesterday! Reserve Grand Champion was the winning 5-year-old – Jacobs High Octane Babe, bred and owned by Ferme Jacobs, of Cap Sante, QC and HM Grand Champion was the 1st place 4-year-old – Oak-Ridge-K Gchip Turbo, exhibited by Milksource & Ransom-Rail Farms of Kaukauna, WI! Overall, judges Trapp and Duckett placed 429 head of Holsteins over two days.
On heifer show day, they chose the pair of Winter Yearlings as Junior and Reserve Junior Champion. Junior Champion went to Kingsway Alligator A Twix (Alligator), 1st Winter Yearling, Velthuis Farms Ltd, Osgoode, ON and Reserve Junior Champion was given to MS Thunderstorm Eternity-ET (Thunderstorm), 2nd Winter Yearling, La Femme Fatale Syndicate, La Femme Fatale, WI!
