International dairy industry superstar Decrausaz Iron O’Kalibra EX97 has passed away, but not without leaving a mark on the global dairy industry.

O’Kalibra has become a household name, transcending breed preferences with her immense dairy strength, impeccable udder and silky, nearly translucent, hide.
Born September 4, 2008, O’Kalibra was bred by Fredy Decrausaz and sons. She was later purchased by GS Alliance and Pat Conroy. Sired by Boss Iron, she is out of an EX90-2E Integrity daughter, followed by a VG89 Milestone.

O’Kalibra first captured the imagination of the international dairy community in 2011 when she was named the Honorable Mention Champion and Reserve Best Uddered Cow at the Swiss Expo in Lausanne, as well as garnering the Reserve Champion banner at the Expo Bulle.
She returned center stage in 2012 and was named Supreme Champion at the 2012 Swiss Expo, a feat she repeated again in 2013. That year she was also selected as the Champion of the All-European Holstein Show.

In addition to the international stardom she achieved in European showrings, she has proven herself as a brood cow, with daughters commanding high prices globally and carrying her signature traits of dairy strength and near-perfect mammaries. She also has several sons in AI further expanding her influence in world-wide Holstein genetics.

While we pass on our condolences to those who have been impacted by and had the honor of working with this great, once-in-a-lifetime cow, we also congratulate all who have played a part in the story she has written.
