Yet another favorite in the Holstein industry has left us. Ms Goldwyn Alana EX96-2E-97MS passed away on Friday, May 13th, at eight years of age.
A perennial showring favorite, Alana has been a household name for several years, being named the All-American Aged Cow in 2015 and the All-Canadian 5 Year Old in 2013. In addition to those honors, she was the Reseve All-American 5 Year Old in 2013, as well as being named All-Quebec in 2013 & 2015.
Her list of championship banners include her most recent win, as the Reserve Grand Champion at the 2015 Royal Winter Fair, as well as being named the HM Grand Champion there in 2013. She has a string of other wins, including being named the Grand Champion at Victoriaville, the Atlantic Spring Show and Quebec Spring Show all in 2015. She was also named the Reserve Champion at Montmagny in 2015.
Alana leaves over 20 daughters, including two classified: an EX91 Aftershock anda VG87 Sanchez. Alana is a Goldwyn daughter of Shormar BKB S Alicia 2-ETN EX94-2E, a clone of Shoremar S Alicia EX97-3E, a Skychief out of Aitkenbrae Starbuck Ada EX94-2E-DOM. Alana was bred by the Alicia 2 Syndicate of Chebanse, IL and was owned by Pierre Boulet, Ferme Fortale Holstein and Isabelle Verville, all of Quebec.
