Nominations are now open for the prestigious Alberta Milk Dairy Industry Achievement Award (DIAA). Deadline to nominate a candidate for the award is September 30, 2015.
The DIAA celebrates individuals or organizations who have distinguished themselves through their substantial contributions to the leadership and development of Alberta’s dairy industry. Through the award, Alberta Milk seeks to convey the respect that Alberta’s dairy producers hold for the people and organizations that help sustain and grow our industry.
Contributions deemed worthy of a DIAA can include, but are not limited to:
- volunteer efforts or committee work in service to the dairy industry
- agricultural education and youth activities in the dairy industry
- lobbying or championship efforts on behalf of the Alberta dairy industry
- scientific contributions to increase production or animal health
- environmental or animal stewardship and ambassador
This year’s recipient will be recognized at the banquet of the Alberta Milk Dairy Conference on November 18, 2015 at the Fantasyland Hotel in Edmonton. They will receive a commemorative print and vest valued at $500, as well as recognition throughout the industry. The nomination form and more information can be found HERE.
