Dairy Farmers of Canada (DFC) was pleased to learn that Ministers Gerry Ritz and Ed Fast will be continuing in their roles as Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food and Minister of International Trade, following today’s Cabinet Shuffle.
DFC also looks forward to working with Minister Rona Ambrose on health and nutrition files, Minister Leona Aglukkaq on environment and Minister Steven Blaney on border issues.
“Minister Ritz is well-versed in agriculture and supply management and his commitment to the sector’s growth is evident. We look forward to seeing Minister Ritz’ leadership, along with Minister of State for Agriculture Maxime Bernier, in applying the government’s ongoing support for supply management,” commented Wally Smith, DFC President.
