This years BC Spring show started out with a bang when 86 head of quality exhibits were paraded in front of Judge Dale Bienert.  The very correct Senior Yearling, Springbend Goldwyn Access owned by T&L Cattle in conjunction with Springbend Farms, used her overall balance and dairyness especially through the head and neck to beat out the winning Intermediate Yearling, Wedgwood Penelope Dundee.  Penelope, from the world renowned Miss Paradise Presence is owned by Stanhope-Wedgwood and Morsan Farms.

Later in the day the winning Four Year Old Haanton Champion Chenille owned by T&L Cattle and Stanhope-Wedgwood used her overall dairyness and style to excell the winning Junior 3 year old also owned by Stanhope-Wedgwood Brookvilla, Jasper Aka.  Chenille, seventh at the Royal Winter Fair last year excelled in balance from front to rear as well as height of rear udder attachment to beat out the deep bodied Aka.  Aka used her udder quality and tightness of attachments to beat out the beautiful bodied Senior 3 yr Old Crovalley Gibson Allison who was Reserve All-Canadian Senior 2yr Old last year.  Another well known name Wedgwood Trixie Gibson owned by Stanhope-Wedgwood and Morsan Farms won the age cow class and claimed the Grand Champion Bred and owned title for the day lacking the bloom and tightness of attachments to beat out the younger cows in the overall Grand Champion race.
